The glass tube solar collector (nonpressurized) consists of glass vacuum tube, nonpressurized manifold and supporting bracket, working principle is thermosyphon the same as integrated non-pressurized system, water is heated directly in glass tubes, taking advantage of the natural circulation due to smaller density in hot water than cold water. Series or/and parallel arrays of solar collector is usually adopted for large-scale hot water heating project.

Working Principle
Solar vacuum tubes are plug directly inside manifold tank, when cold water in evacuated tubes is heated with solar irradiation, as the specific gravities of hot water and cold water are different, hotter water goes upward to manifold tank and colder water goes downward to glass vacuum tubes. through this continuous circulation, the cold water in manifold tank will be gradually heated, in an active open-loop solar system, the hotter water in manifold will be pumped to hot water storage tank, and the same time circulate colder tank water to manifold collector for solar heating.
